Hegemonic Play: Gatekeeping Game Culture
Kevin and Melanie were intrigued with the dynamics of gatekeeping in gaming culture, particularly how boundaries of gaming are created, sustained and challenged. They created an interactive game board resembling Monopoly to showcase some of the different aspects of gatekeeping specific to videogames and interviewed three people for their perspective on this issue.
Please explore by clicking on the game pieces. They suggest you start in the middle and then move to History Lane, working clockwise until you end at Jonathan Street. Enjoy!
Interview Skills
This H5P Branching scenario is designed to help Grade 10 students learn valuable interview skills. The aim in creating this activity was to keep it light and fun for students while modelling the appropriate job interview skills of preparing answers for common interview questions and appropriate dress and behaviour during an interview.
